Brooks Ravenna – a nice shoe to run in
Really like ravenna as they just give that little extra support. This is my fourth pair and i don’t think i’ll be changing brand anytime soon.
A really nice shoe to run in. I currently run 5-7 miles comfortably 3 times a week and am training for a half marathon. These definitely feel as though they are up for the job. Nice design and comfy soles, lots of flexibility on the ball yet the heel feels nicely supported. I bought the grey ones as they were 25 quid cheaper than the others.
After reading the reviews on runners world i decided these were the best for me. Took them out for a 8 mile spin and felt great afterwards, no spikeing pains in my ancles during the run legs didn’t ache afterwards. Only remains to be seen how long they’ll last.
- The Ravs are a good choice for a range of distances if you require
- Same again, thanks
- great investment
Worn them for 3 training runs so far and found them very comfortable. Exactly what i was was looking for.
They fitted perfectly i am a size 6 but when i buy brooks running shoes i always get 6. I have run twice since getting my running shoes one 9. 22k they felt great and where very comfortable and i am looking forward to many more miles running.

Amazingvery light and great to train in. In combination with the training i’ve been on they’ve brought my time down considerably.
This is the second pair of ravenna’s, was so impressed with the first pair.
Lovely comfortable trainers at great price with prompt delivery.
Very satisfied by delivery as well.
Great support for my running style – always best to get that checked out before buying running shoes,.
Super comfy but allow feet to breath.
Great shoes fit perfect and plenty of cushioning for road running.
Had previously bought the ravenna 4’s in a uk11 and loved them to bits. My only issue was the colour of them were very drab so was made up with the appearance of these and the promise of a better shoe. Bought the same size as before and the shoes don’t really fit that well (they’re too big if i’m being honest). They’re semi comfy but compared to my old ravenna’s, they’re certainly not as comfortable. Have only done a 100 miles in them so far so i’m hoping they’ll be slow starters and will blossom into something beautiful .
Probably just a case of getting used to, i’m going to put an insole in anyway.
First pair fit so well that on the first time out i knocked 2 mins off my pb over 5k, then 1000 miles later i decided i needed a new pair of running shoes, what shall i get, new models, fancy colours, danger of buying on line, and so i went for the same shoe, and it was just like wearing the old shoe, apart for the smell and of course a sole that had not see the pavement so often.
Top shoe, fits well, great colour, wouldn’t expect anything else for brooks. Well give more feedback once they have done more miles.
Having previously owned rav 3 & 4s i was keen to test the 5s. The ravs are a good choice for a range of distances if you require a slightly supportive shoe. The 5s seem a little firmer with less flex in the midsole however. The fit is tighter across the metatarsal but a losser lacing method should sort that. They are responsive with a cushioned landing where it counts. You do feel at one with the terrain with a gripper feel than the earlier models. Overall i would wear these for 5k upto marathon depending on the terrain and with a cushioned sock for some added support. A high quality trainer that does a great deal for the price. Possibly not a low enough drop for speedier distance runners who are blessed with great form. Also, personally i prefer slightly more cushioning when ‘training’ long distance (20+miles) but tge ravenna 5s are more than adequate for race day for many runners.
I should have got a size 8 as they would have been a better fit for running in, but they are ok.
Great shoe, lasted 500 miles then the upper gave out ,i would buy again but have discovered saucony guide 8 which is an even better shoe in the same category for moderate pronators.
Fantastic quality runners at an unbelievable price.
Great shoe, but slightly big.
