Merrell Unisex Adults’ Mix Master Move 2 Running Shoes – Good Running Shoes and Brilliant Walking Shoes
I have already own a pair of these but in a different color so i knew a have size would fit well and move and adjust once worn. I use them for walking as they are very comfortable. The pro and the con are one in the same they have a mesh weave so air is allowed to circulate, but they are not water proof.
Excellent quality very lightweight trainers, watch out not waterproof or even splash proof, however on the plus side quite well ventilatedquite a snug fit on the sides. Hard to find a nice pair of black trainers definitely would buy again.
I preferred the merrell grassbow rider, which was slightly cheaper, and has a stronger toe box, and a slightly more rigid construction. These were very, very light on the feet. As usual with merrell, buy at least a half size up. For me they didn’t offer enough all round protection for light hiking. I wanted something i could use for both the gym, and also for light hikes, that wouldn’t take up too much room/weight in my bag whilst i’m travelling. These will work fine for the gym, but the grassbow model were both light, and rugged.
- Very light on the feet
- Initially comfortable trainer with some issues
- Good Running Shoes and Brilliant Walking Shoes
Having had problems with my knees and general gait, i decided to splash out a little on some slightly more expensive trainers for general use (day-to-day when not at work). Having heard great things about merrell, i picked the mix master move 2. I initially found them very comfortable to wear, even for long periods (they weigh nothing), if a little large around the toebox. However, over the last few weeks, there is a tremendous amount of wear developing under the ball of my foot, to the extent of wearing through the rubber to the material underneath. There is also a hard horizontal ridge under the midfoot region of the right shoe in particular, which developed around the same time. I haven’t suddenly upped my use at all, covering around 25 miles per week in them. Even if i had, i would have expected them to last longer than they have, given merrell’s reputation and the product’s cost. I’d certainly recommend these to anyone who needs a bit more cushioning for their joints, but suggest that they are possibly not the best product for those who aren’t particularly light on their feet (i. Me) as they may find themselves in my position – having to look for a new pair of trainers less than three months after buying these.
One make of shoes i can buy online and they always fit perfectly. They are so light you almost forget you have got shoes on. Comfy and perfect for running.

Way more narrow than other merrell shoes i’ve had.
The laces could have been a bit chunkier but overall very pleased with footware. Time will tell just how durable the soles are, but confident the brand quality will not disappoint me.
Great shoes, light weight and well made. I was very dubious about buying shoes online but these fitted me perfectly and are decent quality.
These were bought not actually as running shoes but the lightest possible urban walking shoes, i walk for royal mail who only supply very-dated heavy ‘work shoes’. My legs certainly appreciate these merrell shoes so much so i immediately bought a second pair. Not sure how long they’ll last, but there has to be a trade off.
